The problem
Clinic websites are built as institutional brochures: a message from the medical director, a history section, a facilities gallery. The patient arriving from a search for a specific symptom or specialty has to reverse-engineer whether the clinic treats their condition, then find a phone number that only answers during working hours.
Strategy
Lead with specialties and conditions, in the words patients use rather than clinical terminology, and give every one of them its own indexable page. Booking runs as a short conversational flow with a WhatsApp fallback for outside hours. Doctor profiles carry credentials and languages spoken, which in the Gulf is a genuine decision factor.
UX
Booking is three steps and never more: specialty, then doctor or first available, then contact details. The form asks for nothing that is not needed to hold a slot — no medical history in a public web form, no account creation. Emergency guidance sits above the fold as a permanent notice rather than behind a click. Type sizes run a step larger than our studio default throughout, because a meaningful share of clinic traffic is older readers on phones.
Visual direction
Calm and clinical without being cold: high contrast for legibility at arm's length, a single restrained accent, and photography of people rather than equipment. Type sizes run a step larger than the studio default throughout, because a meaningful share of clinic traffic is older readers on phones.
Development
Specialties are written in the words patients search with rather than clinical terminology, and each one lists the conditions it actually covers. Doctor cards state specialty and languages spoken, which in Riyadh is a genuine decision factor. Colour contrast, focus order and form labelling were checked against WCAG 2.2 AA. In a client build this is where MedicalClinic and Physician structured data and the booking system connect.
Outcome
A patient can go from arriving on the page to a submitted booking request in under forty seconds on a phone. The published demo loads in 87 KB in English and 229 KB in Arabic. YETREMA original.
